The NSW SES has received more than 10,390 calls and responded to more than 5,982 incidents as ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred continues to move inland, impacting the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast of NSW.

While Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred has impacted NSW, the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) warns significant storm and flood risk are still possible for Northern NSW and is urging communities to remain vigilant. 

The NSW SES has received more than 8,800 calls and responded to more than 5,062 incidents with Tropical Cyclone Alfred already impacting the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast of NSW.

The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is asking parts of the Northern Rivers to leave tonight as rapid river rises are expected to lead to extensive flooding. 

As Northern NSW communities continue to anticipate the arrival of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, the NSW SES is reminding the community not to be complacent. 

Local charity Communities for Communities are holding a Family Fun Day at Drummoyne Oval.

In the coming days North Eastern NSW will experience destructive winds, which could bring down trees and powerlines and damage buildings.  

The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is actively preparing communities in the Northern Rivers, Tweed Valley and Mid North Coast for the impact of a rare Tropical Cyclone Alfred with additional personnel, specialised assets, and dedicated equipment now prepositioned in the region.
