The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) Port Macquarie Unit has taken home silver medals from the National Disaster Rescue Challenge in Far North Queensland over the weekend. 

NSW State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers will help thousands of The Hills residents get ready for storms, floods and other emergencies at the Sydney 000 Expo this weekend.  

The NSW SES Port Macquarie-Hastings Unit is hosting a community flood hypothetical exercise on Sunday 13th September at Port Panthers, starting at 10:00 am and going through to 12:30 pm. Several flood scenarios will be presented to participants who will work with a panel of emergency services to develop local preparation, response and recovery strategies. Free lunch provided after the event.

Volunteering is a family affair at the NSW SES Parramatta Unit, with three father and children teams passing on more than just their surname – they’re sharing a passion for helping others, responding to emergencies and serving their community together.
