Storm Season was meant to officially start on Friday, but it would seem the weather had other plans!
With a trough approaching Western NSW today, unsettled weather will generate over the next few days. This is likely to bring the state’s first significant storm outbreak since last season.
Severe storms are possible and warnings may be issued for a large part of the state, most likely on Wednesday, with risk of damaging winds, heavy rain and hail. Wet weather is likely to reach Sydney on Thursday, before conditions ease on the weekend. For latest warnings, see Bureau of Meteorology
Members of the community are urged to prepare their properties before severe weather arrives.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Move your vehicles undercover or away from trees.
