Hunters Hill Volunteer Wins Rotary NSW SES Officer of the Year

NSW SES Hunters Hill Deputy Unit Commander, Peter Dadd, has won NSW State Emergency Service Officer of the Year at the 2019 Rotary Emergency Service Community Awards.
Peter is a Police Officer and a 15-year veteran of the NSW State Emergency Service. He was deployed to Queensland during the floods of 2011 and helped to protect his community during the Hunter Storms of 2017.
“NSW SES volunteers have a long and proud history of assisting their community with invaluable emergency response during floods, storms and other emergencies,” says NSW SES Commissioner Kyle Stewart.
“I am very proud of all of our Rotary Emergency Service Community Awards finalists.”
As well as being a dedicated member of the NSW State Emergency Service, Peter was a retained firefighter from 2007 to 2012 with Fire & Rescue NSW as well as a rescue diver from 2004 to 2012. He has also volunteered with Scouts Australia and Rotary Youth Leadership.
