Hundreds of emergency service personnel, experienced bushwalkers and orienteers put their navigation skills to the test over the weekend (16-17 August) at Australia’s largest search and rescue training exercise, NavShield.

Low lying residents in the Northern Tablelands and parts of the Hunter are preparing for flooding as the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) continues to respond to the impacts of the weekend’s severe weather.

More than 100 volunteers from across the state have converged on the Wellington Caves Complex for one of the NSW State Emergency Service’s (SES) most unique and challenging annual training events.
