NSW SES Operational Update | Thursday 26 June 2025

Summary

The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) has received more than 1,400 calls and responded to over 850 incidents as damaging winds lashed the Illawarra and South Coast, Snowy Mountains, Blue Mountains, Sydney Metro and parts of the Central Coast and Hunter yesterday.

The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) has received more than 1,400 calls and responded to over 850 incidents as damaging winds lashed the Illawarra and South Coast, Snowy Mountains, Blue Mountains, Sydney Metro and parts of the Central Coast and Hunter yesterday.

In the last 24 hours, NSW SES received 734 incidents, the majority involving fallen trees, downed powerlines and property damage including several reports of dislodged roofs.

The South Eastern Zone experienced the bulk of the impact, particularly in the Illawarra and South Coast regions. Significant incident activity has also been recorded in the Metro and Northern Zones, with increased responses across Sydney, the Hunter and Central Coast areas.

The Bureau of Meteorology cancelled the Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds early this morning as conditions eased.

NSW SES Crews will continue to respond to residual storm-related and clean up jobs today.
