Urban areas, including metropolitan, suburbs and towns, can have specific storm risks including impacts of flash flooding. It is important to remember that storm water and floodwater in urban areas can be very dangerous.

Volunteers from the NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) in the Lachlan Valley were awarded for their service last week in Cowra and Forbes.
The two ceremonies, led by NSW SES Commissioner Carlene York APM, recognised long service by volunteers in the Cowra, Forbes, Parkes, Grenfell and Gooloogong Units.
