Encourage others to plan for a possible tsunami.
Know Your Risk
Act early on warning advice as there can be very short time frames between earthquakes, tsunami forming and tsunami warnings.
Follow all advice given by emergency services.
Plan Now for What You Will Do
Has a Severe Weather Warning or Severe Thunderstorm Warning been issued?
Now is the time to activate and follow your HOME or BUSINESS emergency plan.
Prepare Your Home and Business
An Emergency Kit can help save precious time in an emergency situation. It provides items you might need if you lose power or need to leave your home in a hurry.
Be Aware
In Australia you may receive an official Tsunami Warning, however it is also important to be aware of the natural warning signs.
Look Out For Each Other
The protection of life is the highest priority for the NSW SES when we make decisions about planning for tsunami.
Know Your Risk
Continue to listen to the radio for advice and do not return to the evacuation zones until authorities have given the all-clear
Prepare Your Home and Business
Recovery centres may provide a range of welfare services including financial assistance, personal support, organising temporary accommodation and providing information and referrals.
Look Out For Each Other
Communities and people pull together after major natural disasters.
After a tsunami, impacted communities will need to support each other.
