Know what kind of official Tsunami Products there are:

Plan what you will do in the event of a tsunami with your family, friends and neighbours.
Encourage others to plan for a possible tsunami.
Know Your Risk
Act early on warning advice as there can be very short time frames between earthquakes, tsunami forming and tsunami warnings.
Follow all advice given by emergency services.

Now is the time to activate and follow your HOME or BUSINESS emergency plan.
Prepare Your Home and Business
An Emergency Kit can help save precious time in an emergency situation. It provides items you might need if you lose power or need to leave your home in a hurry.
Be Aware
In Australia you may receive an official Tsunami Warning, however it is also important to be aware of the natural warning signs.

Continue to listen to the radio for advice and do not return to the evacuation zones until authorities have given the all-clear

Recovery centres may provide a range of welfare services including financial assistance, personal support, organising temporary accommodation and providing information and referrals.

Communities and people pull together after major natural disasters.
After a tsunami, impacted communities will need to support each other.

As a result of an eruption of HUNGA TONGA-HUNGA HA'APA in the Tongan Islands at 3.10pm AEDT Saturday 15 January 2022, the Bureau of Meteorology issued a Marine Tsunami Warning for the NSW Coastline, Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island. NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is the lead agency for Tsunami in NSW.
