Volunteers from the NSW SES Kogarah, Windellama, Wingecarribee, Campbelltown and Auburn Units have been recognised for 837 years of combined service.

Commissioner Carlene York and Deputy Commissioner Daniel Austin awarded 83 volunteers with National Medals, National Emergency Medals, Long Service Awards, NSW Premier’s Bushfire Citations and Commissioner’s Certificates as well as a Young Volunteer of the year award and a young cadet of the year award.

Commissioner Carlene York said that the awards are a fitting acknowledgement of the dedication and professionalism of NSW SES Volunteers.

“Team spirit, friendship and desire to service the community are some of the great strengths of the NSW SES. It creates a positive environment which encourages them to stay with the service for many years,” said Commissioner York.
