Unsettled weather for NSW from Friday through until Saturday 

Many communities along the NSW North Coast have experienced heavy rainfall over the past few days which has led to an increased risk of flash flooding with further unsettled weather on the way.  

With the holiday season now underway, planning your daily travels whether local or on holidays is vital to you and your family’s safety. A little preparation can save lives.  

Here are some simple steps to ensure you arrive at your holiday destination safely this year. 

• Plan ahead and allow extra time to get to your destination 
• Stay up to date on the latest road information visit Live Traffic, MyRoadInfo or call 132 701 and make safe decisions. 

• Stay up to date with the latest information and warnings by following and liking our social media channels Facebook, Twitter and the NSW SES website. 
• For information on the current weather conditions visit Bureau of Meteorology’s website   
• If you do come across a flooded road, make the safe decision there is always another way 
• For emergency in help in floods and storms call the NSW SES on 132 500. If it is a life threatening situation dial triple zero (000) immediately.
