Heavy Rain to Hit Hunter & Mid-North Coast

The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that heavy rainfall is likely to develop on Tuesday about the Newcastle and Lower Hunter areas and the Central Coast. Moderate rain may fall between the Illawarra and the Mid-North Coast. There may be localised flash flooding and rises in rivers and streams.
The NSW SES is asking people in the affected areas, especially in the Newcastle and Central Coast areas to be aware of the situation and to ensure that their properties are prepared. Clean gutters, drains and downpipes, park cars under cover away from stormwater drains and ensure that you do not enter floodwaters.
Rural property owners should consider whether livestock and equipment should be relocated to higher ground as a precaution.
