04/04/2017 11:00 AM

The NSW SES is gradually moving from responding to severe flooding in the north east corner of New South Wales to a recovery effort.

Since the beginning of this event there have been 2776 Requests for Assistance with requests easing. This includes 488 flood rescues.

During Tuesday there will be at least 500 Emergency Services personnel in the field in the Northern Rivers area.

Approximately 1000 people are isolated in northern NSW. The majority are located in the lower Richmond River area. The NSW SES stands ready to resupply isolated farms and communities as required. People requiring resupply should call the NSW SES on 132 500.

An Evacuation Order remains in place for Tumbulgum, affecting approximately 330 people. Residents and business owners are asked to not return until the all clear is given and it is safe to do so.
