More wet weather on its way17/03/2017 05:07 PM
Over the past few days many parts of NSW have received heavy downfalls and more is on its way with the wet weather continuing into the weekend. There is currently a severe weather warning for Mid-North Coast, Hunter and Northern Tablelands with damaging winds and heavy rainfalls expected which may lead to flash flooding. There is a flood watch for 15 rivers from Central Coast to Northern Rivers so please move your livestock onto higher ground early in preparation for the coming rain.
Since Sunday the NSW SES has received a total of 1194, with 800 in the last 24 hours, and undertaken 59 flood rescues. So if you are planning to travel, check the weather forecast at the Bureau of Meteorology and livetraffic.com for road closures.
If you can delay your travel, do so, but if you come across floodwater, stop and find another route to your destination.
For emergency help in storm and flood emergencies call NSW SES on 132 500. If life threatening call triple zero (000).
