Flood Watch Issued for Upper Murray River

18/10/2017 02:44 PM

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Flood Watch for minor flooding along the Upper Murray River upstream of Hume Dam.

The Flood Watch is a 'heads up' for people living and working along the river to get ready for possible minor flooding in the next few days. Property owners and managers should immediately lift pumps and relocate livestock and equipment to higher ground.

If you are camping along the river, ensure that your campsite is on high ground and that you have a safe exit route should conditions deteriorate.

If you require emergency assistance because of the flooding, call the NSW SES On 132 500 or 000 if it is a life-threatening emergency.
