Flood Watch Extended to Include Northern Rivers

The Bureau of Meteorology has extended the Flood Watch to include the Wilsons, Richmond and Brunswick Rivers. This is in addition to the rivers previously noted in the previous Flood Watch issued this morning.
The Flood Watch covers:
1. Brunswick - minor flooding
2. Richmond-Wilsons - minor to moderate flooding
3. Coffs Coast - minor flooding
4. Orara - minor flooding
5. Bellinger and Kalang - minor to moderate flooding
6. Nambucca - minor to moderate flooding
7. Hastings - minor flooding
People living and working along these rivers and their tributaries should act now to prepare their homes and businesses. Lift pumps and relocate livestock and equipment to higher ground. Consider what actions you may need to do in relation to your home and business if flooding develops.
If isolation is likely stock up now on food, fuel, medicine and other essential items. If you are camping near a river or stream, ensure you are well clear of rising water and have safe passage to high ground.
If safe to do so, clean gutters, downpipes and drains around your home and check that your roof is in good repair.
