Current Evacuation Centres across NSW
The following Evacuation Centres have been opened by Family and Community Services (FACS)
- Southern Cross University - Military Road, East Lismore
- Sacred Heart Church - 143 Murwillumbah Street, Murwillumbah
- Mount St Patricks High School – Murwillumbah, access on Queensland Road (next door to the church)
- Banora Point High School - 2 Eucalyptus Drive, Banora Point
- Southern Cross University - Military Road, East Lismore
- Kentwell Community Centre - 20 Bangalow Road Ballina NSW 2478Bilambil Public School 418 Bilambil Rd, Bilambil NSW 2486
Distaster Welfare Assistance Point
- Kyogle Memorial Hall, Kyogle
If you can stay with family and friends over an evacuation centre please do that.
NSW stay put and stay safe, if you have been advised to evacuate please make the right decision and leave early.
Conditions are extremely dangerous, this is an ongoing severe weather event with major flooding occurring. Rivers are still rising and many will continue to rise even when the rain has stopped.
Many schools will be closed this morning so check your school website for closure information.
Don’t travel unless you absolutely have to, visit livetraffic.com.au and www.myroadinfo.com.au to check road closures and plan your trip accordingly.
