As part of the Granny Smith Festival, this year NSW SES Ryde Unit will have an additional exciting series of 8 free short and sharp presentations to educate the community to be better prepared for weather emergencies that will be located in a sit-down shaded marquee in Rowe Street next to the SES van display close to The Avenue intersection. Don’t miss it as every attendee will receive a high quality SES tote bag full of goodies.

12:00pm Pets in Emergencies – it is important for pet owners to learn how to make safe decisions in an emergency as research has shown that people with pets often make poor decisions.
12:30pm Useful rope knots to use in a storm or flood emergency – a hands-on workshop where each participant is given a length of rope to learn to make essential knots.
