Put Floods in Your Business Plan
25 February 2016, 1:38PM AET
Every business is at risk from natural hazards such as severe storms, flooding, tsunami or fire; with some businesses vulnerable to multiple hazards. These can strike with little warning and the consequences can be devastating for the unprepared business.
To help business owners develop a simple and effective plan for floods, storms and other emergencies the NSW SES has created the Emergency Business Continuity Plan. The plan has been created with input from previous users of the plan, businesses in flood prone areas and Emergency Service personnel to ensure it meets the needs of its users.
The plan is easy on the eye, easy to use and understand and allows the user to think about the emergency risks for their own businesses and how they may prepare for those. It gives up-to-date information on what to do to prepare for disasters, what warnings will be received before the disaster, what to do immediately prior to the disaster, what to do during the disaster and finally how to recover quickly and efficiently.
Being interactive, input into your plan directly relates to the content of the final plan receives from you, so it can be as comprehensive as you need it to be.
Thinking about making a plan will not protect your business, so visit http://www.sesemergencyplan.com.au/ today and help make your business a little better prepared and give yourself, and your employees, a little more peace of mind.
