SES Issues All Clear for Yenda

16 March 2012, 8:37AM AET

All Clear for Yenda

Authorised By:   James McTavish, Incident Controller

An infrastructure failure at the junction of Mirool Main Canal and Northern Branch Canal on the 5 March 2012 posed a significant threat to the safety of the residents in the Yenda village and downstream from Mirool Creek, which resulted in the NSW SES issuing an evacuation notice.

Floodwater in the affected areas have subsided and the NSW SES has issued the ALL CLEAR for all parts of Yenda. This means that it is now safe for all residents to return to their properties.
