NSW SES Set to Give Generously to Emergency Services Challenge 2012
21 June 2012, 2:30PM AET
The NSW SES will again be participating in the Emergency Services Challenge organised by the Red Cross.
The Challenge runs from 1st July 2012 – 31st August 2012 and is an Australia-wide Blood Challenge.
The NSW SES and other emergency services are well known for their willingness to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand in times of disaster – in this case they will be rolling up their sleeves to give much needed blood. Each donation saves up to three lives, so between them the emergency services including the NSW SES aim to save hundreds of lives.
Members of the emergency services interested in participating have been asked to sign up to Club Red online at www.donateblood.com.au/clubred
and to state their organisation’s name when they donate.
This year the emergency services participating include:
·
NSW SES
·
NSW Police Force
·
NSW Rural Fire Service
·
Fire and Rescue NSW
·
Ambulance Service of NSW
·
Marine Rescue NSW
You too may be able to give blood. To book an appointment to donate please call 13 14 95, or to book a group ask to speak with your local Community Relations Officer at your nearest donor centre or mobile unit.
