Equipment & Livestock Warning for Namoi Catchment

15 July 2012, 10:45AM AET

Even though rain has ceased there are strong flows in the Namoi River & its tributaries so there is still a risk that low-lying farmlands and roads across the Namoi Valley may be inundated and farmers should consider securing pumps and other equipment and prepare to move livestock if they have not already done so.

People who may be impacted by the closure of low lying roads should consider this when making travel plans.

If you require emergency assistance as the result of flood activity, contact your nearest SES unit by calling 132 500. In a life threatening emergency dial 000.

Keep listening to this station for further updates.

For further information contact Namoi NSW SES on 02 6740 2300.
