SES Responding to Storms this Afternoon.

Severe storms have affected the Blue Mountains, Sydney Metro and Central Coast this afternoon. They have caused flash flooding and damage to property due to fallen trees and branches.

The worst affected areas have been around the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast, Sydney and around Port Macquarie. A total of 121 requests for help have been received. The NSW SES has also responded to a flood rescue with a family in their home in Hazelbrook affected by flash flooding.

Severe storms have now cleared the Illawarra, Metro and Central Tablelands but are still possible on the Mid-north Coast and the North Coast.

For emergency help call the NSW SES on 132 500. If it is a life threatening emergency call the 000 immediately.
