Floodwater from Southern Queensland and North Western NSW is extending along the Culgoa River and the Darling River
As a result of major flooding predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology, the NSW State Emergency Service orders that community members of Alice Edwards Village are to evacuate between now and 5.00pm Friday 24th February 2012.
Once clear of this area you are to proceed to the accommodaton that has been arranged.
RSPCA will mange the temporary housing of pets during the evacuation period.
Electrical items should be turned off and secured in preparation.
Before you leave you should:

Raise belongings by placing them on tables, beds and benches. Put electrical items on top. You may be able to place light weight items in the roof space

Collect together medicines, personal and financial documents, mementos and photos and take them with you
·
If possible, check to see if your neighbours need help
·
Take your pets with you when you leave
·
Take adequate clothes, bedding and medicines
·
Turn off the electricity and gas at the main switch or at the gas bottle
·
Continue to listen to a local radio station for updates
Don’t walk ride or drive through floodwater. This is the main cause of death and injury during floods.
