George Mulherin


State Emergency Service (SES) volunteer, George Mulherin was presented with a Director General’s Commendation for Service by the SES Director General Brigadier Philip McNamara at a presentation held recently in Glen Innes.

 

The award recognises George’s achievement and service to both the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) and the community of Tenterfield.

George joined the SES in Tenterfield in 1979 and has served his community for over 29 years.  George was previously a long term Deputy Controller and Rescue Team Leader of the Tenterfield SES Unit and currently holds the position of Deputy North West SES Region Controller (volunteer).

“George has demonstrated leadership, resourcefulness and innovation and has given his skills and talents, to make his community safer,” said Brigadier McNamara.  "George thoroughly deserves to be recognised for his dedication and for the unique contribution he has made to the State Emergency Service and to the people he serves."
