Wollongong Hazardous Areas FloodSafe Guide

Wollongong is susceptible to flooding on the many short, steep creeks that flow down from the escarpment and across the built-up coastal plain.

Flooding in the Wollongong area occurs on average about twice per year, at least to nuisance level, and most areas of the region can be damaged by flooding or water inundation of some form.
