Fourteen SES floodboats have participated in a parade on Sydney Harbour as part of the 2008 New Year's Eve celebrations.

SES volunteers from the Sydney Western and Sydney Southern Regions have participated in a parade of emergency services watercraft on Sydney Harbour. Fourteen floodboats participated, travelling from Goat Island on the western side of the Harbour Bridge to Clarke Island and return, passing under the Harbour Bridge and passing the Opera House and Fort Denison.

The parade was a means of enforcing the exclusion zone around the fireworks barges as well as highlighting the Service's floodboats and flood role in front of over a million people lining the harbour.
