Home FloodSafe Toolkit Toolbox

The Home FloodSafe Toolkit covers areas susceptible to riverine and flash floods.

The toolkit package includes a waterproof wallet, introductory letter from the NSW SES Commissioner Murray Kear, a FloodSafe flip chart which can assist in planning actions before, during and after floods, an SES 132 500 fridge magnet, a Home Emergency Kit magnet and a FloodSafe Guide.

The package is available from your local SES unit or Region Headquarters.

The toolkits also outline important contact numbers, emergency numbers and important services numbers such as gas, water and electricity providers. The Riverine Home FloodSafe Toolkit also has a section for Critical Flood Information where you can record important river heights, evacuation information and local radio station frequencies.

The SES have delivered toolkits to high flood risk areas of NSW including Narrabri, Lake Macquarie, Tweed Shire, Forbes, some Sydney suburbs and in the Illawarra area.
