FloodSafe Guides

There are FloodSafe Guides for many locations across NSW including the general NSW Community FloodSafe Guide and the NSW Rural FloodSafe Guide.

Canterbury City Council and the SES have developed FloodSafe Guides in six different community languages which you can download by visiting the FloodSafe Community Language Resources page.

Part of being FloodSafe is to prepare an Emergency Kit. Follow the Emergency Kit link to find more information on putting together an emergency kit.

Local FloodSafe Guides

The SES develop Local FloodSafe Guides which give specific information for areas at risk of floods in NSW. These are produced in collaboration with SES Region Headquarters, Local Units and Local Councils.

Local FloodSafe Guides are reviewed every five years along with Local Flood Plans. In some circumstances, FloodSafe Guides may be withdrawn from the SES website due to content being outdated and if the guides fall outside of the five year Flood Plan Cycle review.

Local FloodSafe Guides will be published on this site as they are produced and are listed alphabetically by location below.
